Students in the Civil Aviation Program at the Vocational School of Higher Education visited an airport as part of a technical field trip organized to support their academic activities. The students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical experience by observing airport operations firsthand.
During the technical field trip, students received detailed information from officials regarding terminal services, ground services, passenger processes, baggage management, and flight operations. Additionally, they observed the technological systems, security protocols, and operational procedures used at the airport firsthand.
As part of the program, students toured the airport facilities, gaining the opportunity to closely examine activities conducted on the apron, in check-in areas, and at security checkpoints. During briefings provided by officials, the importance of operational processes in the aviation sector, as well as the critical roles of workplace safety and coordination, were emphasized.
Accompanied by Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suna Altan and Lecturer Ferit Ökmen, the students had the opportunity to listen to professionals and gain firsthand experience regarding terminal operations, ground services, airport operations, and flight processes.
